Exciting New Changes!

|
I wanted to apologize for the lack of posts lately. We are currently in the process of moving the blog to a dedicated, hosted server. The blog will move from a simple blog to a magazine style blog which will include sections for business ideas, marketing ideas, technology, and even more to include fashion, beauty, health, etc. It will be a premiere, online magazine for the home business woman entrepreneur. I will try to add as much content here until we are ready to launch. But if you notice lack of content, this be the reason. I'll also try and get newsletters out, but it may not be weekly as previously promised. Stay tuned!

Keeping Your Options Open

|
When many people are starting out in the Internet business, they want instant gratification. Meaning they want to make as much money as possible, yesterday. That drive pushes them in a certain direction, which we seem time and time again:
People just starting out tend to focus on "money-makers," not on growing a long-term business.
This is the reason many choose affiliate marketing in the beginning. I'm sure you've seen statements like this on sales pages that recommend affiliate marketing related courses or products:
Affiliate marketing is one of the fastest, easiest ways to make money online. Best of all, you don't even need your own product!
That's absolutely true. But it's only part of the story. The "rest of the story" (as radio personality Paul Harvey might say) is that you're going to end up wanting your own product...and your own brand to put that product under...and your own business that you control pretty much 100%.
Affiliate marketing doesn't give you those things.
It's much smart to grow your own business and brand first and use affiliate marketing as part of your strategy to earn income while doing that. That's exactly what the reprint rights marketing model we're going to show you how to set up will let you do. It has three big advantages:
It's still relatively easy and inexpensive to set up...and you can make money with it quickly
It gets you started on growing your own business and brand
The income potential is still huge
In short, the right Internet business mindset is this:
You should focus on growing your own brand and business online, while you achieve a consistently positive cash flow quickly.
The reprint rights marketing model I'll walk you through fits that to a "T," and will keep you on the right mindset road over the long term.
In addition to the reprint rights marketing model, another way to achieve your own business and brand online is through Network Marketing and using a Virtual Business Network.
Many may criticize and discourage against Network Marketing; however, we found with the right company, this can be one of the most lucrative business models no matter what industry you are in. Another term may be Multiple Level Marketing.
You must consider the compensation plan, the product and the integrity of the company before jumping on board. Network marketing appeals to so many people because of the long term residual income it provides, but you should also be looking for a company that provides immediate cash flow as well. These companies are absolutely available.
The biggest benefit of network marketing is the idea of working as a team. If you are injured or not able to work, your income does not stop. When you stop performing, others on your team remain working, thus your residual income continues to be deposited into your bank account monthly.
Although Affiliate Marketing should not be your main source of income, it certainly is a decent supplemental income, we'll touch on this in later issues.
Blogging also offers decent supplemental income. In fact some earn a full time income from blogging, but this takes a considerable amount of time to build to this type of income. We believe the best way to use a blog to earn income is to use it as advertising your brand and your product. It is possible to earn income from it directly through advertising and affiliate marketing, but we prefer using it indirectly.

5 Easy Steps To Generating Traffic

|
This is the formula I use to generate traffic, easily, quickly & freely!

1.) Write an article with good content & submit to article directory like ezinearticles.com. Your article should have links back to blog, landing page, website, wherever you're trying to drive traffic.
2.) Once article has been published and you have link to where article is, publish on your blog, with a link back to the article. Something like, originally published at ......
3.) Put same article on other sources, with link back to original source, as in step 2
4.) Advertise the new article on Facebook & Twitter (or whatever social media sites you use).
5.) Social bookmark everything on sites like delicious.com. You should social bookmark everything you have on the internet to drive traffic.

I think this is a great, free way to generate traffic to wherever you need it to go!

To Your Success,
Rachel

How to Use Twitter & Facebook to Promote Your Business

|
Social Media and networking has caused quite a frenzy and changed how we socialize. People are connecting, chatting, and relating to one another. However, if internet marketers look a little closer, they will find a place to expose their business and find free traffic. From social bookmarking to more networking sites like "My Space", you can certainly get traffic from all of them.

But, there are two sites that welcome businesses to market and join the social media frenzy:
- Facebook
- Twitter

Let me give you a quick overview of how to use both.

Facebook:
Facebook doesn't really publicize their business side very much, but it's there. You'll find the link at the bottom of the article, listed under resources.
Facebook lets you create ads that will show up when people are browsing Facebook to connect with their friends. But you'll have to pay for that, either when people click your ads or when the ads show up, up to the limit of your daily budget. The free option is to create a Facebook page for your business.

This is similar to what an individual does when he creates a Facebook page for himself, except you're creating a page for your business. Then people can become a "fan" of your page and tell their friends about it. With over 53 million Facebook users out there, this can be some powerful word-of-mouth advertising. It's easy to create a page for your business, and like I said, it's free. Click the Create a Facebook Page button and you can walk through the very simple page creation wizard. Here are a couple things to keep in mind: - You don't have to cater to people under 25. The fastest growing Facebook demographic are users 25 and over. There are a variety of professionals, both young and not so young. It's not just about kids discussing teen television dramas. - The key is getting fans. This isn't hard to do. You'll need a personal account at Facebook (it's free too) before you set up your business page. When you set up your page, you'll become its first fan...and your Facebook friends will see a message on their home page that you just became a fan of your business page. Many times, people will check it out & spread the world, and then you're traffic will be multiplying! I would show you a video for this but unfortunately you actually have to create a real business page when you walk through the wizard, and I don't want to create a junk page. Don't worry though, it's a very simple process to create a page, and the Facebook help is pretty good.

Twitter:
Twitter admittedly sounds like a silly idea...you sign up for a free account, then other people start "following you" on Twitter, meaning they'll be updated when you make a Twitter post. If you talk about what you're doing in your business, your followers will get updates about your business! Joining Twitter is simpler than signing up for web based email. It's simple and free.
Click the "Join" Button! button to sign up. Once you're signed up, all you have to do is sign in and type short messages (140 characters or less) that you want your followers to see. Really, it's that simple. So what's this mean for your business? Simple. What this means is that everyone following up gets updated what you're doing, whether you updated your blog, you've published an article or you've taken your business to the next level. You can include links to your site or blog in your Twitter posts, so people can head right there...and give you free traffic.
As with most social media marketing, the key is getting contacts. In the case of Twitter, that means getting people to follow you on Twitter.

Here's a quick way to do it:
- Put an invitation on your blog for people to follow you on Twitter so they can get a quick notification whenever your blog gets updated (that's convenient for them)
- Announce your invitation in forums, on Facebook, or wherever else you can
- Offer helpful information on your blog and update your Twitter followers every time you post. That's all there is to it.
Twitter is really a buzz-building tool. You don't do much direct marketing there (with only 140 characters per message, it's tough to say too much), but keeping people informed can keep your traffic flowing.

Grand Opening!

|
At last! This has been a project in the making for a few weeks. This blog is a mother-daughter collaboration designed to provide a resource for strong, motivated businesswomen wanting to find a place in the world of internet marketing. Both Rachel (daughter) and Nancy (mother) each own and operate a home business. After getting involved in the home business industry, we each noticed there are certainly lacking resources for internet marketing targeted toward women specifically. There are a few and they are fantastic! We'll talk about those in upcoming posts! Rachel and Nancy have spent nearly a year researching home based business opportunities and ways to market them online. We have found opportunities that work and some that don't... In the course of the past year, we have educated ourselves and leaped over a learning curve that has been unbelievable. We're committed to educating you on different types of online opportunities, as well as innovative, affordable solutions to marketing those opportunities. We will also be sure to break this down for those just entering the field, as well as offering more advanced methods for those who currently in the home business, but need a boost to their business or new innovative ideas.
